The leading Tech Gian such as Apple, Samsung Electronics (Exynos) and Huawei (HiSilicon) manufacture their own chips. The Chinese emerging Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi also set its goal to build its own chipset.

According to reports, the Chinese giant is now working to create its own chipsets, which will be announced very soon. There is probably that the chip would be utilized in the smartphones releasing later this year which includes Mi 5C smartphone.

A few days ago, the company created its official Page for the chipset on Chinese social networking site ‘Weibo’.

According to anzhuo.cn, the new processors will be called Xiaomi “Pinecone” in partnership with Leadcore chipmaker, which processors have Xiaomi already used in Redmi 2A. Rumors about the new processors indicate the existence of the two models, the pinecone 1, and pinecone 2.

The Pinecone 1 with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and the Pinecone 2 with four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores.

The Pinecone 1, said to be octa-core Cortex-A53 and the Pinecone 2 with four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores, using 4 Cortex-A73 cores will handle more tasks and 4 Cortex-A53 consume less energy and handle simple tasks. The chipsets are expected to composed with 10 nm technology.
