We are talking about PS4 vs Xbox One family of consoles, the Xbox One X and Xbox One doesn’t stands a chance. Because the whole sales figures and the numbers and the actual sales advantage of that PS4 already have is just basically too big too great. Even if PS4 stopped selling and Xbox One would actually boost it’s sales numbers and it’s going to take them a while to catch them.
The difference between these two consoles sales is about 30 million which is huge, PS4 sits around 60 million, Xbox One right now at 30 million. PS4 sold twice as better as Xbox One but that doesn’t mean that those numbers may change because Microsoft seems to be playing all the right strings recently. Maybe apart for one thing that’s basically exclusives.
Xbox should have good titles that would sell the console, Forza 7 is too niche of a game and it’s not that kind of game that is going to sell 10-20 million console, just like Halo and Gears of War used to do. Crackdown 3 on the other hand is not really a graphical masterpiece so, it’s not going to sell the console that much.
There’s no point of comparing the PS4 overall sales to overall Xbox One sale. The war is over for the fanboys here. But in terms of install base for PS4 Pro versus Xbox One install base that’s a new chapter and why is it important? Because if the Xbox One X sells well and if PS4 Pro sells well and will be selling well that means more graphically advanced games because there’s going to be bigger install base that wants those better graphics.
