Among many devices this year, the Vivo Apex at Mobile World Congress was one of the coolest looking phone. Though being a concept phone, Vivo wasn’t sure about launching this new idea at that time. But it looks like Vivo is now reconsidering and is planning to release its concept phone for the public.
Not a lot is known about this upcoming phone from Vivo. Though Vivo is expected to launch it next year, with the phone going into mass production in the first half of 2018. So if everything goes well we should see it get launched in early 2019. The Vivo Apex offers a 91 percent screen to body ratio. While the bottom bezel of the phone measures in at 4.3mm.
The Vivo Apex was able to achieve this unique design by combining two features. Which includes an integrated finger print scanner that covers the bottom half of the OLED display. While there is also a motorized front facing camera hidden inside the phone. These two features makes the Vivo Apex different from its competition. Reason why the phone was able to achieve the highest screen to body ratio.
As for the specs on the Vivo Apex, well the device is not yet gone into production. So it’s hard to speculate what the phone will be powered by when it comes out. Though there are some details that are known about the Vivo Apex. This will include a 5.99 inch OLED panel, USB Type C connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For processing Vivo might go with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or the Snapdragon 855 that comes out next year.
The only downside about the Vivo Apex after its launch would be availability. As being a Chinese branded phone, the Vivo Apex might not be available for everyone aside from some selected Asian countries.
