Almost every one of us uses Google Maps nowadays as it has become an essential part of our lives. The developers back at the Menlo Park are working hard day and night to make things better. As a result, a new update in Google Maps now shows the amount of traffic passing through your desired route at the time you search for it. This is seriously a very helpful thing for those planning to travel, especially on the longer routes.

A Valuable Addition

Of course, this is a much-needed addition to the Google Maps through which everyone can get an advantage. It works as soon as you search for a destination to go. The amount of traffic passing through your desired route is symbolized by green color for normal traffic flow and red color for dead slow or jam traffic.

Also, a graph shows traffic levels throughout the day when you open the Maps. If the routes show green lines, that means you are good to go. However, if the Maps show red lines it means that either the traffic has been very slow on this route or it’s a traffic jam. If you are headed to home and definitely not in a mood to get stuck in traffic jams, this can definitely help you. So update your Google Maps app and find an alternative route if your desired one is chocked.
