The Radeon RX Vega launch by AMD is probably the most anticipated one in the company’s history. The launch is planned on July 30th, according to the latest news and before coming to the exhibition desk at SIGGRAPH 2017, AMD has also decided to take it for a tour to almost 3 different locations. Aside from the basic details, we are now listening to the latest rumors which suggest the codenames of the upcoming Vega variants.
Here Are The Codenames
- Vega XTX
- Vega XT
- Vega XL
As described by a German site, 3D Centre, these are the upcoming codenames of RX Vega graphics cards which are confirmed by VideoCardz. Not only the codenames, some more rumors of the upcoming cards are also stuck to the news.
If these rumors are to be believed, the two top variants of the card, the Vega XTX, and Vega XT are:
- Liquid AiO cooled and air-only
- 4096 stream processor
- 8GB of HBM2 memory
Aside from the 2 star performers, the entry level version among these three, the Radeon Vega XL will have around 3584 stream processor and it will be air cooled. If you are wondering about the monthly production of the units, it will be around 15,000 – 20,000 which is equivalent to that of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti GPUs.
