According to recent rumors Sony is next on the list to launch their upcoming flagship smartphone. Which is said to be somewhere around in the month of September at IFA 2017. Though all we have for now are the model numbers which includes G8441 and G8431.
It’s not the first time we heard about these two new upcoming smartphone. As earlier there were certain reports. According to which Sony is planning to launch a flagship device as well as a compact version of it alongside it. Which would include the Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact. Both the smartphones were also reported to be equipped with the same specs. Though the screen on the compact would be smaller compared to what its flagship model will offer.
Among the two above mentioned model numbers. The G8441 was spotted on AnTuTu recently. Where we finally got to see its specs. According to Antutu the upcoming Sony Xperia G8441 will come equipped with a Full-HD 1920 x 1080 display. There will also be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 running under the hood. That will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Antutu also shows two 8MP cameras on the smartphone. Though it is not known yet whether it’s a dual camera setup or not. The benchmark does show that the smartphone will come with an HD 720P display. But according to the latest rumors the above mentioned resolution might be the one to ship. As the smartphone is running the latest Qualcomm processor.
What is also interesting about the Sony G8441 smartphone is the Android version that it will be running out of the box. Which is not even out yet as Antutu has mentioned support for Android 8.0 on the smartphone. Judging from the specs the Sony G8441 looks like the compact version among the two.
