From a report; in an interview with Buzzfeed news, Company’s COO and CFO Anthony Noto revealed that the company is planning to broadcast news, sports and entertainment videos on its app through out the whole day and whole week. According to a report:

“We will definitely have 24/7  content on Twitter,” Noto revealed. “Our goal is to be a dependable place so that when you want to see what’s happening, you think of going to Twitter.”

Not further talked about the benefit of broadcasting that it would generate a new source of profit for the company; 15 to 30 seconds unskipable ads, much like Youtube ads monetisation and other TV commercials. You don’t have to worry about it as you can let them auto- play in the background.

Buzzfeed further revealed ,what Noto said that,

“It was instrumental [in generating additional interest]. It’s a really high-profile brand and one that has really high expectations for product quality. It caused people to come and see if we could deliver.”

Noto further revealed in an interview that,

“We think that is a great way to have the programming carried along with you during your day. Focus in on it when you hear something that’s of interest, but then maybe not be 100% focused on it when it’s not of interest. I did that myself during the debates.”
