Apple rolled out final version of iOS 11 a couple of days ago. There are some tweaks and new features for the iOS devices. Apple recent iOS version is featured with emergency call services. The iOS 11 final version allows you to dial emergency call code on pressing the sleep button from your iPhone five times, it will appear a slider menu you have to slide it and dial to the emergency call service. You have another option for you the ” Auto Call” that you can enable without swiping the slider menu.
The recent released iPhone X featured with emergency calling option that the users can enable it by pressing the side button and the volume up button at a time and you don’t need to press sleep button for five times. How to enable Auto Call
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down to “Emergency SOS.”
- Toggle on “Auto Call.”
- To turn it off, simply toggle off Auto Call.
After the enabling the Auto call option it will dial automatically the emergency calling code according to your country, If it press accidentally, it give margin for a three seconds to cancel it.
Enable Setting Emergency Contacts
Apple allows you to select few of contact numbers according to your preference whom you used to dial in an emergency. Here are few simple steps to set emergency contacts.
- Open the Health app.
- Choose Medical ID.
- Select “Edit” in the top right corner.
- Scroll down to the Emergency Contacts section.
- Tap the “+” button to add an emergency contact.
