According to report, General services Administration confirms the Kaspersky Lab will no more work in the US. The Russian company Kaspersky Lab banned in the USA, the government alleged the company has ties to Kremlin and collaboration with local intelligence services.
Moreover, the report, state departments and federal agencies in the United States are not permitted to buy or use anymore services of the Russian antivirus vendor.
The US agency, GSA works for the security and integrity of the government systems. The agency proper measures and ensure the security standers of country with products and services delivered to the country security systems and software specially designed for the security issues. GSA stated as:
“GSA’s priorities are to ensure the integrity and security of US government systems and networks and evaluate products and services available on our contracts using supply chain risk management processes.”
However, the Kaspersky Lap is not accepting the all allegations, the company said on its official statement that their company is not working with criminal bodies are doing inappropriate with the Government. The company is only concerned about the give solution to the firms against cyber crime. The firm says as:
“Kaspersky Lab is very public about the fact that it assists law enforcement agencies around the world with fighting cyberthreats, including those in Russia, by providing cybersecurity expertise on malware and cyberattacks”.
The Kaspersky Lab sows inverse in reaction that the allegation are just the propaganda again the company. However the company says as in a statement that they are “unjustly accused without any hard evidence.”
“When assisting in official Russian cybercrime investigations, in accordance with Russian law, we only provide technical expertise throughout the investigation to help them catch cybercriminals. Concerning raids and physically catching cybercriminals, Kaspersky Lab might ride along to examine any digital evidence found, but that is the extent of our participation, as we do not track hackers’ locations. Kaspersky Lab doesn’t provide any government agencies, nor other parties, with information on location of people and doesn’t gather ‘identifying data from customers’ computers’ because it is technically impossible.”
