OnePlus finally puts an end to all the rumors surround their next smartphone. Where the company talked to Verge yesterday, confirming that their next smartphone would indeed be named OnePlus 5. OnePlus also confirmed that their upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone will be launch this year, in the months of summer. Which should likely be somewhere between June to August.

There is also a reason to why OnePlus won’t be naming their upcoming smartphone the OnePlus 4. As this would be the right order to name their next smartphone after OnePlus 3. But as it seems in the Chinese culture the number 4 is not taken in good faith. So in order to avoid this superstition, OnePlus has decided to name their next smartphone the OnePlus 5.

So what kind of specs can we expect from the next phone from OnePlus. Well according to recent rumors the upcoming OnePlus 5, will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Aside from that the smartphone is also rumored to come with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. With a 128GB and 256GB variant, where the storage might be dependent on the amount of RAM. We certainly have seen this with other smartphones as well.
