The Xioami Mi MIX 2S might be the second flagship phone from the Chinese manufacturer, which will be running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. It’s also likely that Xiaomi might go against the Galaxy S9 in terms of price and performance.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S was recently spotted in Antutu scoring 273741 points. Xiaomi also tested a prototype before it, running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. That got a total score of 267020, where the phone was equipped with 6GB of RAM. But the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is expected to ship with 8GB of RAM. Reason why we are seeing a slight bump in performance.
The Mi MIX 2S from Xiaomi is not only known for its performance. As the phone comes with an excellent screen to body ratio. That is also expected to make a comeback with even smaller bezels this time around. Aside from that the phone will also be sporting a fingerprint scanner below the display, while Face unlocking will also be supported.
In terms of specs the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is expected to sport a 5.99 inch display. That will support a max resolution of 2160 x 1080 on a 2:1 aspect ratio panel. There will also be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 running under the hood, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of on board storage.
AI would also become a part of Xiaomi this year. Where the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is expected to come with some AI tweaks to help the camera identify important subjects in the scene. Most of the AI tweaks on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be handled through the Snapdragon 845. Where Xiaomi is expected to use the Sony IMX363 sensor.
Manufacturers like Apple and Google are now moving towards AI. Something that will be the future of smartphones. Though with Huawei already in, it wouldn’t be long before more Chinese manufacturers follow in the same footsteps.
