Philips had recently shown up with the world’s second 8K screen and now it’s time for some Quad HD action. The all-new 27-inch monitor by Philips is named as “276E8FJAB.” As the monitor is a Quad HD screen so obviously, we are talking about the 2560 x 1440 resolution which will be displayed at 60 Hz. To add more color combinations to the screen and to add brightness to the available colors, the company has installed a 4 ms IPS panel along with the exclusive Ultra-Wide Color feature. The figures for color coverage according to Philips are:
- 114% NTSC
- 132% sRGB
The ultra thin bezels make it an eye-catching monitor and the 178º viewing angles of an IPS panel provides a much improves user experience. Other than that, we have three more features introduced in 276E8FJAB that we need to discuss.
As the name says, Flicker-free technology ensures that the display is quite normal without any kind of flickers appearing on the screen. It ensures that the brightness of the screen remains constant and no eye fatigue is caused.
This one is also one of the most suitable features for any screen as it automatically adjusts colors and backlight intensity of the screen according to the content that is currently played on it.
The SmartImage Lite feature helps to increase the colors of the screen by analyzing the content played on the screen. What it actually does is that “it enhances the contrast, color saturation and sharpness for improved display performance” as claimed by Philips. The Philips 276E8FJAB comes with 1x VGA, 1xDisplayPort 1.2, 1x HDMI 1.4, 1x Audio in and 1x Audio out and is available for $349.99.
