Today, the tech giant HTC is introducing the new VR headset called as link, the VR is designed for the latest smartphone U11. The new VR is not a standalone device, it has to be connected with the smartphone.
In the VR market, the customers want to a high ended VR headset to connect their PCs and other smart devices, the choice of the customers may be the Vive, Samsung Gear VR, Google Daydream or the Oculus Rift. The new VR Link is the best VR to connect the smart devices and experiences the VR technology.
According to the verge report, HTC Link is the first VR headset that is based on the smartphone. The link have the six degrees of freedom tracking. The external cameras fitted with the devices allows to track and control the motion of the objects with the lights. The Sony PlayStation VR had already same technology. However, the camera and controllers are available for the customers initially in Japan.
According to the Tech times report, The latest HTC link has its own two 3.6-inch LCD panels with a 1,080 x 1,200 resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate, providing a 110-degree field of view rather than the depending on the 5.5-inch Super LCD display and QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440) of the HTC latest smartphone U11.
The New VR headset is weighing in at 554 grams or 1.22 pounds, that is equal to the totalweight of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Gear VR, that have the almost weigh 155 grams or 0.34 pounds and 345 grams or 0.76 pounds respectively.
The company is working on the standalone VR headset. The Google is working with the HTC for the standalone VR headset. According to the sources, the company yet not announce the release of the HTC Link VR to outsides the home country.
