While Google was busy in its yearly I/O conference for 2017, Microsoft showed up with its own line of products in the Build 2017 and another event dedicated to the rolling out of Surface Laptop. While many of the new announcements were made and some of the new inventions were displayed in the Build 2017, Microsoft aims to hit another sky-high shot tomorrow where the company’s next-gen 2 in 1 tablet cum laptop will be displayed.

23rd May’s Event

The 23rd May’s event is planned to take place in China’s financial hub, Shanghai and as soon as Microsoft announced a new hardware rolling out, rumors started to wander over many of the forums that the tech giants are going to release the next iteration of the Surface Pro series named as Surface Pro 5. But to their disappointment, Microsoft clarified the issue by saying that there are no plans to release Surface Pro 5 in the event.

What’s Coming?

Despite Microsoft’s explanation, we have witnessed the pictures of the upcoming laptop cum tablet- thanks to the famous leaker, ‘Evan Blass,’ who published a series of images which are being claimed as the upcoming hardware at tomorrow’s event.
If Microsoft’s keynote star Panos Panay statement is taken into consideration, there might not be any device named as Surface Pro 5 but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the upcoming machine is not the next iterative model of the series. Got confused? Actually, Microsoft can copy Apple’s idea of replacing the numbers of models with different names with some iterative changes in the newer models.

Some Smaller Changes Under The Hood

While there is news regarding the internal characterization refresh, we may witness some of the changes from outside. Looking at the pictures, we get an idea that the newer laptop will have new colors for the pen and keyboard accessories. To prove that this one is not the part of the Surface Pro series, Microsoft has kept the color scheme a bit different from that of Surface series.
