So all those waiting for the Star Wars Episode IX will have to wait for a bit longer as Lucasfilm has delayed it. Why? Because the Director Colin Trevorrow has been fired by the company!
So the previous date which was May 2019, has been changed to December 20, 2019. The company has decided to surprise the viewers with a Christmas gift! Lucasfilm is keen to put JJ Abrams as the new director of episode IX as he has already been on this seat for the Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens in 2015.
If you are following the series, you’ll have an idea that after the death of Carrie Fisher, who actually played the role of Princess and then General Leia the management wanted to rewrite the movie. The sad incident happened last December and the continuity was needed in the upcoming episode but so one school of thought said that the film should be rewritten. Well, that perfectly makes sense because even if the production uses the pre-shot footages for this episode, how will they continue it in the future? Well, they are surely having firm plans in their mind.
