Intel has been seen fighting the Spectre vulnerability related issues on all levels as the last two months have proved disastrous for the Windows-based PCs. Now Microsoft has decided to help Intel by rolling out Intel’s fixes for systems running Skylake CPUs on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
What Are The Future Plans
Not only this, Intel will be releasing more fixes for newer Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake processors as well as older Broadwell and Haswell CPUs. Microsoft exec John Cable explained:
Microsoft continues to work diligently with our industry partners to address the Spectre and Meltdown hardware-based vulnerabilities. Our top priority is clear: Help protect the safety and security of our customers’ devices and data
Although this is happening for the first time that Microsoft is helping an OEM with its updates but this was surely, the need of the hour!
