Back when Qualcomm announced its new flagship chip the Snapdragon 845. Xiaomi also made a statement saying that their next premium flagship phone is just around the corner. Xiaomi also didn’t mention what they were going to call its next flagship phone. But why would the company let go of such a famous phone series. Xiaomi is expected to launch its next flagship device the Mi7 at MWC 2018.
According to a recently leaked screenshot, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi7 is expected to come equipped with 8GB of RAM. The phone will also be powered by a giant 4489mAh battery. Which compared to its predecessor the Mi6 is a massive upgrade. As the current Xiaomi flagship phone comes equipped with 6GB of RAM and a 3350mAh battery.
As mentioned the Xiaomi Mi7 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Aside from that the phone will also feature a dual camera setup at the back. Which would include a combination of dual 16MP cameras, while at the front the Xiaomi Mi7 is expected to feature a 5.6 inch FHD+ display. Meaning the next Xiaomi flagship phone would be the first to come with a bezel-less display. The provided image also points towards 128GB of on board storage, though the company might also launch a higher 256GB model later on as well.
The MIUI version running in the screenshot is indeed older compared to the MIUI 9, running on most Xiaomi phones. So do expect it to be running on the latest version of Android upon launch. While wireless charging is also expected to make it to Xiaomi phones with the Mi7.
The upcoming Xaiomi Mi7 would most probably be the most affordable phone running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Reason why the Chinese company have gained such an interest in the international market. Are you excited for the next Xiaomi phone?
