Photographers who want to capture high-resolution images or recording 4K videos acknowledge that having a good storage card is essential as having a quality camera. Apparently, Sony announced a new SD card To provide ultimate data read/write speed that would enhance the camera performance.
Sony announced the new SF-G series SD card few day ago. The company claim that its the fastest card ever created, it will be able to achieve a write speed of up to 299 MB/s and read speed of 300MB/s.
According to the official report, The SF-G series boasts an ultra-fast write speed up to 299 MB/s – fast enough to support the continuous shooting of high-resolution images with high-performance DSLRs supporting the UHS-II interface.
The new cards of SF-G family carry an extra dose of safety for data. As it offers resistance to water, dust, excessive temperatures and even X-ray. In case something goes wrong, you can use Sony recovery software to try to recover recorded data from the card. The new SD cards will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
The price and date aren’t confirmed yet but it’s expected to available in April. with an estimate price for 32GB (about $130), 64GB (about $ 220) and 128GB around $ 400.
