As teased earlier, we have come up with some more news regarding the upcoming AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 APUs With Vega 11 and Vega 8 Graphics unit. The Zen CPU and Vega GPU cores will be in the game once again but with a slightly faster graphics integration.

The 65W and 35W Variants

The two Ryzen APU variants, as disclosed in leaked slides, are of 65W and 35W. The all-new “G” series family of processors will be replacing the “U” series family. You might be right while thinking of the “G” family named after “Gaming”, but what we know until now, is that these processors will definitely get a TDP uplift.

Disclosed as Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G, here are the specs of the two processors:

Ryzen 5 2400G

  • 4 cores and 8 threads
  • Based on the Vega 11 graphics processor
  • 704 stream processors
  • 65W TDP rating (you can bring it down to 35W if required)

Ryzen 3 2200G

  • 4 cores and 4 threads
  • Based on the Vega 8 graphics processor
  • 512 stream processors
  • 65W TDP rating (you can bring it down to 35W if required)
