Have you checked out the MSI’s Vortex G25 PC? I am sure you must have had this first impression that this would compromise on its performance abilities like all other small form factor PCs do. The problems are many if you take the said size into consideration including smaller PSUs and not being able to install such mobos which can accommodate better specs. But things are quite different for Vortex G25.
What’s In This Small Package
It may look small because of its dimensions but that doesn’t mean that it has lesser specs. With just 2.5L volume and 2.5KG weight, the Vortex G25 has world’s latest generation processor, the Intel latest Coffee Lake. The stock speed of this Core i7 8700 processor is 3.2 GHz but it can climb up to 4.3 GHz when overclocked.
The Performance Boost
MSI has been dealing in the SFFs for quite a long time but what’s special about the Vortex G25, is the sudden performance increase of 30%. Some of the coolest features of this PC are:
- Cooler Boost Titan to boost the performance
- Dual Whirlwind Blade fans
- 8 heat pipes to dissipate heat
- All three variants are VR ready
- Hi-Red Audio certified
- ESS SABRE HiFi audio DAC
- Dual NVMe M.2 SSD by PCIe Gen3/SATA-SSD Combo slots
- Dual DDR4-2400 slots (maximum of 64GB)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
- Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB Type-C (3.1 Gen2)
- HDMI port
- USB 3.1 port
