Recently, Qualcomm rolled out Snapdragon Wear 2100 which sported a number of features which were impossible to be mounted on such a small chip. The SoC was a remarkable addition to the company’s list of wearables focusing primarily on location tracking. The latest offering by the company is the Snapdragon Wear 1200 which is even better when it comes to mounting better technology on a smaller chassis.
The distinctions of the Snapdragon Wear 1200 include a 79 square millimeters chassis with an LTE system-on-chip (SoC). The device supports 15 global RF bands and the best part is the list of location features which include:
- Qualcomm cloud-based location services (Using WiFi and cellular service)
Other Special Features
As of the current date, the SD Wear 1200 is out and live and reference designs from Quanta and Borqs have been developed and are being tested now. As per the changing demands in China, tracking children has become fairly common and acceptable.
