12 3 PS4 Pro is slowly becoming a 1080p/60 FPS console rather than 4k/30 FPS

Recently we have seen a lot of  news about many games on PS4 Pro being 1080p games. It all started with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice that offered a 1080p/ 60 FPS mode also Rise of the Tomb Raider which offers two modes, one is close to 4k which is dynamic 4k and 30 FPS another one is 1080p and close to 60 FPS option.

On top of that we’ve heard about Star Wars Battlefront to being a 1080p/60 FPS as well. There’s also been some rumors not confirmed by anyone yet that this particular mode that Richard Leadbetter tested at Gamescom was basically a 1080p/ 60 FPS an enhanced graphics mode which is a good thing because resolution doesn’t necessarily make the game stand out.

If you look at couple of PS4 Pro versions of the PS4 games the resolution doesn’t really change much, it makes the image a little bit crisper and resolution is not that important. That is why on PC most of the PC gamers prefer to play in 1080p or 1440P/ 60 FPS with ultra settings because that makes the game stand out.

Just very recently Call of DutyWWII analysis leaked out, the game runs at some very interesting resolution, ranging from 1440px1620 and goes up to 2880×1620. Basically the bottom resolution spectrum that PS4 Pro offers is around 2 million pixels, in other words that’s 1080p. Because 1080p is 2 million pixels as well.

A big disappointment from Sony as they didn't bring anything new at E3 this year
