For the last couple of weeks I’ve been reporting on 4k games, performance of the games on console both on PlayStation Pro and Xbox One X because it looks like is going to be a new standard these days on the new consoles. Whether we like it or not 4k is going to be a thing moving forward.
The consoles are using all kinds of trickery to get to 4k but on PC you don’t necessarily have to deal with that because if your PC is not powerful enough to run this game in 4k you just invest in better graphics.
The Project Cars 2 is releasing this year, it’s a great simulation game and there’s been some tests already, some Beta. Unfortunately there was the MDR thing on any materials from this game and recently NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) has been lifted and we are getting reports on the performance of this game on the PC.
According to one of the Neogaf user Rayge, he was actually running this game on the powerful PC, he also mentioned his specs which are: Titan X graphic card and i7 6850K CPU. He was able to run this game at Native 4k at around 80 FPS to 90 FPS with Max out settings on average. And there were some peak times where he was even able to run this game at 4k 120 FPS which is quite a lot.
If you are really into 4k 60 FPS gaining on PC you probably will not need Titan XP graphic card, GTX 1080 should be more than enough to run the game in 4k 60 FPS. GTX 1070 maybe a bit of stretch unless it’s heavily overclocked or disable some settings.
