We needed a break from the CES 2018’s happenings so we have shifted towards something different. Mushkin’s Triactor lineup is full of high-end SSDs and to update its inventory, Mushkin has rolled out two of the mainstream SATA SSDs:

  1. Triactor 3DX
  2. Triactor 3DL

The nomenclature has “3D” in it for symbolizing the 3D NAND flash because these SSDs are based on 3D TLC NAND flash. The company has mated them to a Silicon Motion SM2258 controller and will be available in these capacity variants:

  • 120 GB
  • 250 GB
  • 500 GB
  • 1 TB

Speaking of the performance, these SSDs are capable of offering transfer rates of up to:

  • 565 MB/s read speed
  • 530 MB/s write speed
  • 4K random access performance of up to 100,000/91,000 IOPS (read/write)

Built in the 7 mm-thick 2.5-inch form-factor, the Triactor 3DX is a better variant than the Triactor 3DL as it is built in the M.2-2280 form-factor, with SATA 6 Gbps interface.
