With upcoming Christmas, New Year’s & Hanukkah days away. Cell phone towers will soon be jammed with the video calls and conference calls. Facebook Inc. is going to power up it`s messenger app hoping that people will choose over it competitors. On last Monday, Facebook updated its Messenger on Apple Inc.`s iOS, operating system of Android; Alphabet Inc.`s and the desktop web, adding six-way video calling. Facebook has just added the feature to Messenger that may even make the most fervid skeptics wanted to use the app: Group video calling.
The application of the chat now allows that can take you up to six friends to make a video call directly from the messenger.
Anyone from the latest version of this application can use this feature, also it also includes the animated masks like used in Snapchat on which Facebook has been experimenting with on the iOS version of the messenger (Android support feature is coming soon as per said by the company).
It works the same way while starting a group call as it does with one-to-one video call in the application: On the right corner tapping the camera icon to begin the video call in chat. It’s basically a limited no of six person video call though upto 50 others participant to join in but without the video once the limit is reached. (use Skype if you want to go for wider group calls).
Though Facebook Messenger is still on the hatred list, the addition of group video calling makes the app more useful than applications like whats app, which only just added one-to-one video calling in the previous month
