The probable release of new CPUs of different manufacturers has increased pressure on Intel to launch a perfect competitor in the market. Intel is going to release its new high-end processor Core i7 7700K, which is said to be the best in the market. The upcoming release of new Ryzen series is somehow matched by this design of the Intel for the time being while Intel is expected to release even better than this very soon.
This new CPU design of Intel is an improved version with all the performance issues of the Skylake boards being killed . The CPU has been reported to have a tremendous gain in the overclocking speed which is stated as 7.2 GHz. The new Kabylake processor is based on 14nm FinFET process node while the hardware of the CPU now includes the VP9/HEVC decoding ability. The other models that Intel is going to release later this year are predicted to have even better specifications. The next model of Intel CPU, called Cannonlake, is supposedly going to have a 10nm die or even it will be better than this. The core i5 7640K and core i7 7740K designs will be launched around the same date when AMD Ryzen will be releasing its new CPU designs.
The specifications in this Kabylake design of CPU core i7 7700K has introduced increased clocking speed of 4.2 GHz with the 4.5GHz Turbo Boost. The clocking speed of the CPU might not be attractive for you, the combination of Clocking with Turbo boost is a better option than others. The comparison of 7700K with the previous design 6700K does not give very much appealing results. Similarly, the WinRAR test of the two CPUs shows 7700K about 0.6 seconds slower. In the CineBench, the score of 7700K was just 2 units above of the 6700K score. In light of these factors, I would suggest you to wait for the Cannonlake release if you already have the 6700K in your system.
