To end the prevailing confusion relating to their smartphone, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. comes up with a suggestion. Company decides to rename and sell the Huawei P8 mid-range model in select markets only; and the new title for Huawei P8 Lite is Huawei Nova Lite. We’ve however, to wait as it could be either Nova Lite Or P9 Lite.

Before going into any further details, the news of 2017 P Lite is sort of a leak and the same comes through courtesy Evan Blass the famous leakster. Going by the Twitter Title @evleaks, Evan is the source to tweet the images of the device; claiming the model will be ‘rebranded’ as Nova Lite.

Further, the tweet suggests that ‘name’ is the only thing NEW about the upcoming device, in other words; no change expected in terms of features or design. So what does it mean exactly, what’s going to be the category of 2017 P8 Lite, Huawei P series or Huawei Nova series?

It was in 2015 when the Chinese multinational mobile manufacturer had launched the Huawei P8 Lite smartphone, being the first ever P8 Lite Model. Bringing out another P Lite device with similar title could mean leaving the consumers confused therefore, Huawei deemed it necessary to avoid both the confusion and negative impact.

They thus decided instead of launching two devices with similar names, the successor of P8 Lite 2105 should be better given new title. Huawei will not only retail the 2017 P8 Lite under new title i.e. Nova Lite but will also chose specific, select markets to sell their device, though for the time being, as announced by the company. It was also announced that phone will arrive in end-Jan this year.
