rxvega64 1 Radeon RX Vega 64 is ticking better than GTX 1080; that’s what benchmarks say

There is now a very high possibility that Radeon RX 64 performs better than a GTX 1080 at higher clock speeds. Thanks to benchmark performance conducted by Videocardz just before the launch of Radeon RX Vega 64. Radeon RX clearly performed better than GTX 1080 at higher clock speeds but lagged behind at lower clock speeds. If that’s the case then the rumors of Radeon RX Vega being faster than GTX 1070 might actually be true. Let’s get serious and put them to the test.

Rumours no more, its turning into reality

Rumors finally turning into reality, other major benchmarks are confirming it. Benchmarks like 3DMark FireStrike, 3DMark FireStrike Extreme, 3DMark FireStrike Ultra and 3DMark TimeSpy were also employed, and the results confirmed the latter conclusion. At higher clockspeeds, Radeon RX Vega out performed GTX 1080 in all benchmarks except for TimeSpy. It gives a pretty good picture to developers about what they have their hands on. Sadly Radeon RX Vega 64 and Radeon RX Vega 56 still won’t be getting the performance crown from NVIDIA, it will be claimed by GTX 1080 Ti.
