With back to back success this year, 2017 is marked as one of the most successful year of AMD. With the release of Ryzen Thridripper and Vega cards AMD claimed its thrown for 2017 by surpassing Intel. One the of the key for AMD success was its low prices comparing to its mega performances, in which some of its product priced half the price of Intel.
Now AMD needs to keep their horses running to reclaim its thrown of success in the upcoming year. As per AMD future plans for 2018-19, they planned to jump to 7nm from 14nm skipping nm in between. We have already heard that the company intends to release another round of Zen processors based on 14nm+, followed by Zen 2 and Zen 3 based on 7nm later down the line.
Thanks to the leaks report by Informatica Cero who revealed the roadmaps of AMD upcoming processors:
According to claim reports Pinnacle Ridge will be the second round of 14nm+ based processors and will give boost in performance. Looking forward to 2019 ‘Matisse processor’ it will be based on 7nm Zen 2 architecture. The further details relating to its thread and core count is featured in the above table.
