According to the report, HP Inc announced to collaborate with Siemens Additive Manufacturing (AM) software module. HP is one of the major PC and printing corporation in the industry. HP is working on its Multi Jet Fusion 3D printer and for that the company announced collaboration with Siemens. For that, Siemens is also working with same effort by introducing software module NX AM for ‘HP Multi Jet Fusion’ that is compatible to the HP’s additive manufacturing and for its design.
Michelle Bockman, Global Head, 3D printing Commercial Expansion and Development, HP Inc, said in a statement as:
“HP and Siemens are bringing together the best in design and manufacturing workflow software for the best in 3D printing”
However, the company claims that its latest software for additive manufacturing will able to perform following functions as customers combine design, optimization, simulation and as well as it will prepare and inspect the job and process of the HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printed parts. Zvi Feuer, Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Engineering Software, Siemens PLM Software said:
“We see additive manufacturing as a transformative digital force that is empowering companies to reimagine their products and factories to achieve new levels of business performance”
The company says with the NX and Multi Jet Fusion working, there is no need for the data conversion between software applications. However, it will not require to process steps, but the new software is able to improve edge to edge design and cover the flaws of the last versions effectively.
