The Android O Developer Preview‘s 2nd version has been out for a long time now and you can also run it on Google Pixel and 2015 Nexus devices. Though you needed to workaround a bit with your phones in the past to get them running, a solution for installing the Pixel Launcher is now available for the non-rooted phones as well.
How to Install the Pixel Launcher Without Rooting Your Device?
If you are using an Android phone and you don’t want to get the Pixel launcher on the cost of the root, you can try out this method. The credit for finding out this solution goes to Reddit user AmirZ, who somehow managed to create an APK file for the install which is actually based on AOSP Launcher 3. If you try out this method, you’ll instantly get the all new weather and time widget and the ‘G’ pill of the Pixel Launcher, and Google Now.
To get started, simply click here to download the latest APK version from GitHub which is named as “Pixel-v1.2″ for the time being. If you haven’t already allowed your device to install apps from unknown sources, make sure to allow it.
