Even though the recently launched Nokia Sirocco 8 was the star of the show at Mobile World Congress this year. The company still have other plans as well. Which includes launching two new phones running the latest goods in side.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco indeed is a step in new direction for HMD Global. But there are still a lot of things that needs to be improved. Where HMD Global plans to launch two new phones at the end of this year including Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 Pro.
Not a lot is known about these two new upcoming phones or what the company will name them. But among the two the Nokia 9 is expected to come equipped with a 5.7 inch display. While the Nokia 8 Pro is expected to come with a 5.5 inch display. There will also be other major differences between the two as well, aside from the screen size.
The Nokia 9 is also expected to be the first phone that will come with a penta-lens camera module. Which won’t be available on the Nokia 8 Pro. Though both of them will be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, with a slight difference in memory amount. Aside from that the Nokia 9 among the two is also expected come with an integrated fingerprint scanner. Which lets us to believe that the Nokia 8 Pro won’t be sporting an OLED display. Since an integrated fingerprint scanner can only work through OLED.
The Nokia 9 will also be the expensive option among the two and will be placed against major flagship devices. Whereas the Nokia 8 Pro will be a more affordable option for users who just care about snappy performance on their phones.
HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 8 Pro somewhere in August. While the flagship Nokia 9 will see the light of day somewhere next month after that.
