Yesterday, Google July updates for security patch rolled out for both Pixel and Nexus family. User will get the updates over the air (OTA). The updates will reach to your devices depending on the location.
The users whom received the updates can install and update the security updates, the other Google devices owners have to wait for the update notification. Some of Pixel device owners reported the installation and update issue, Google acknowledged the issue and working for the solution.
Google released the updates for the Android 7.1.2 files for the devices including the Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, and Nexus Player while the 7.1.1 updates are rolling out for the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.
According to Google the updates are major concerns with security patches, and some updates are available for the bug fix and user interface, the report stated as: “could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.”
