Google is trying hard to roll out more and more functionalities for its users and according to the latest rumors, Google Home will be providing an all-new feature named “Proactive Assistance,” which will notify you about your upcoming important tasks from general reminders to flight updates etc.
Starting From The Basics
Like any other feature, Google will roll out the basic version first. What you’ll get in the basic version includes flight status updates, reminders or traffic alerts. The repeated notification sounds can be irritating sometimes which may cause the user to either mute the device or completely disable the notifications. So Google is planning to get this sorted out in the first place.
What Kind Of Notifications Will The Users Be Getting
To make it comfortable for the users, Google Home, instead of ringing a notification bell, will just light up the Home’s top light. The top lights will spin around to let you know about the pending notification. To make it easier and somehow adding to your laziness, you would be able to ask Google “What’s up?” to hear the notification in the form of a voice clip.
When Will This Notifications Feature Roll Out?
Very less is known about the release date of this feature but what we do know is that the announcement from Google comes right after a day when Amazon announced a similar kind of a notifications feature for Alexa and Echo. Though there is a difference in the approach of both but this is more or less, a competition call.
