Google Vizio partnership continues to bring yet another interesting feature. Last year we saw Vizio introducing Google Google Cast support into its smart TVs, wireless speakers etc via the SmartCast line.
This year is even more interesting. Vizio has added Google Home feature to its smart displays. Vizio owners can now give verbal command to get the Vizio things done.
Earlier the SmarCast devices had Chromecast built in them, but with this integration, you can handle your environment, i.e. adjust the volume, select and control music and change and choose content on the TV.
You just have to say ‘OK Google’ followed by a desired item you want to enjoy from any source like Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music and others.
This feature is operational on Vizio’s numerous devices: SmartCast E-, M-, and P-Series televisions, home theater displays, sound bars and wireless speakers. Vizio has activated the similar functionality on displays and TVs through Google Home, which uses the Quick Start Power Mode.

Through this feature, the system will consume a bit more energy than regular however will do surprising thing for you. For instance, you want to play Netflix’s Narcos on the upstairs TV. Give command, “Okay, Google Play Narcos upstairs” to activate the TV and start the show. This extra feature allows them to use Google Home as a remote control.

Google is on a right track to integrate with other brands and boost the business. It has potential to integrate with other third party devices for more entertainment-oriented functions.
This feature has really taken things to higher levels where it can compete with Chromecase in the days to come if not at the moment.
