Google Allo is an instant messaging mobile app developed by Google. It has a function that allows users to reply to messages with automatic suggestions (optional) instead of typing. It includes a virtual assistant and provides a smart reply. Allo was announced at Google I/O on May 18, 2016.
Google launched the app on September 21, 2016. Google Allo app is signed up with Google accounts instead of phone numbers and it is limited to a single device for this reason Google Allo Application isn’t blowing up the application’s charts. As we compare Google Allo app with other Social networking application like Whatsapp, Viber, and Line etc. Now Google has now Idea to launch Google Allo Application for the desktop.
This app is now based on user’s phone number instead of Google accounts. By bringing Allo to the desktop, Google appears for open to the concept of taking the service multi-platform and therefore making it much more accessible to users.
Which will Google Allo App compete with other social networking apps like, Facebook Messenger and even with Whatsapp which are very popular among worldwide users and which will become rival for Google Allo app?
Google Assistant is only available on Google Pixel phones and Google Home. If you’ve been dying to try it, all you have to do is download Allo. It works in the same way as a bot might in any other messaging app.
It will be interesting to see how much more users Google will be able to get on board once it brings Allo to a new platform. As already mentioned, we don’t know when exactly it will be released, but based on the fact that it is still in early development, it might take a while. But it will definitely the good one.
