The updates of different games and applications are sometimes the most upsetting and annoying part which force me to wsitch. The same, I suppose, happen to a number of other people too who don’t want to update continuously the games which already have occupied enough space of their hard drive. The new update of Gears of War 4 is a terrifyingly perfect example of such case. The game which already have covered more than 80 GBs of my disk, now getting more than a hundred GBs. I searched about this thing and found that the latest updates are somehow more annoying than any other updates introduced in different games. The online players who play Gears of War 4, have to sacrifice at least 101 GB of their disk to install and play this game. While, the thing is, most of them are getting nothing from this update.
Yes! The new update has included two new maps including the Valentine’s special event and the Guardian mode. But, these two maps are not available for everyone who is updating the game. Instead, these are locked under a paywall which the users have to pass to reach them. The obvious thing here is that, these two maps are carrying the most of space which these updates have introduced.
The fuzzier thing here is that, sometimes the Windows Store interrupt in the updating process and botch the update. This interruption makes the update huge and overall, the update becomes 248 GB weigh. This is worse than ever happened to me playing Halo 5. Forcing the players to download unnecessary updates sometimes become so annoying that it forces players to uninstall the game instead. The same which I did to Halo 5 while it was forcing to download updates weighing 8 GB, then 8 GB, then 6 GB of updates and so on.
