If you are a Galaxy S8 or S8+ user, then we won’t be surprised if you hate the badly position finger print scanner on the smartphone. Before its launch the smartphone was rumored to come with an in screen finger print scanner. But due to some constraints Samsung couldn’t pull it off, at least on their Galaxy S8 models. Where now people are looking forward to seeing this unique technology being used on the next Galaxy Note smartphone. Though that might no longer be the case according to the recent news.
According to a Korean report, who quoted a Samsung official saying “We made every effort to install a display-integrated fingerprint sensor on Galaxy Note 8, but we decided not to install it on this strategic phone due to various technical limitations such as security’’. This means that a prototype is there but Samsung does not have the perfect technology yet to implement it on their smartphone. Though the report also says that Apple have successfully implemented this new technology on their upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone.
It would be disappointing not to see an in screen finger print scanner on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8. But don’t give up hope as Samsung is continuously trying to improve upon this new technology. Where we would likely see it being used on the next Galaxy smartphone. Which is mostly the case as Apple has always been the first to come up with a unique hardware functionality like the iPhone 5s. The first smartphone to come equipped with a finger print scanner.
The upcoming Galaxy Note 8 is also said to share a lot of its design with the current Galaxy smartphones. Where we would likely see a big display with the same 18:5:9 aspect ratio. Whether Samsung decides to includes an in screen finger print scanner or not. We would like to see it placed on a more ergonomically part of the phone this time around.
