Forza Motorsport 7 was definitely front and center for Microsoft, pretty much kicked off their conference at E3. It’s one of the few games that is 100% confirmed at running at 60 FPS on brand new Xbox One X. We have now the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the game.

We are going to be really radical and start off with the Minimum specs first:

  • OS: Windows 10 x64.
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 API, Hardware Feature Level 11.
  • Memory: 8 GB.
  • Video Memory: 2 GB.
  • Processor: Intel i5-750 2.67 GHz.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GT 740 or NVIDIA GTX 650 or AMD R7 250X.
  • Integrated Keyboard and Mouse

Sadly they hadn’t specified what minimum and recommended means and despite the obvious 4k for the console version they do not have a maximum requirement. This is usually for 4k but you can at least go from the recommended and take a sort of rough estimate of what you would require. Moving swiftly on to the Recommended.

  • OS: Windows 10 x64.
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 API, Hardware Feature Level 11.
  • Memory: 8 GB.
  • Video Memory: 4 GB.
  • Processor: Intel i5 4460 3.2GHz.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 or NVIDIA 1050 Ti.
  • Integrated Keyboard and Mouse

It’s nice to see a game being added to these fairly limited list of games that actually uses Direct X 12, we have got Rise of the Tomb Raider, Hitman, Ashes of the Singularity etc etc that supports DX 12.

The requirements are definitely a little bit hefty but it is manageable but if you want to run this in a 4k then you definitely need to bring the beef.
