Intentional Mistake or An Oversight?

The company accepts its fault regarding the performance of EK-Supremacy EVO Threadripper Edition CPU water block and the X399 monoblocks. Reason being the below average performance, at least according to the EK® standards, the WBs weren’t acceptable to the modder and builder communities.

As a compensation, EK-Supremacy EVO Threadripper Edition CPU water blocks are on discounted price in the market for a limited time. However, a permanent fix for the water block to work in PCs is also available. An apology note has been issued by the company itself:

Finally, now we can try to make things right, as our engineers came up with a new cold plate, tailor-made for HEDT AMD® Ryzen™ Threadripper™ processors. The new cold plate has a much larger fin area than the older one, and now the monoblocks can even compete against the best performing Ryzen™ Threadripper™ water blocks on the market.

A Free Upgrade Kit

To fix the issue once and for all, EKWB is offering a free upgrade kit with the new cold plate. You’ll get all the necessary things to swap the cold plate with the new one. For the replacement, EK support team can be contacted at this link.
