AMD had prior plans for the Computex 2018 and the exciting unveiling of Vega 20 on 7nm with 32GB of HBM2 was already decided. But to add more to the hype, AMD has announced their new project: Fenghuang 15FF.
What is Fenghuang 15FF?
Fenghuang 15FF is essentially a new graphics chip for APUs. The name “Fenghuang 15FF” is actually the internal codename for this graphics chip, with the current codename of DG02SRTBP4MFA applied.
Speaking of the hardware specs this Zen+ APU family chip brings in, here’s a short list:
- 4C/8T of CPU power
- 3GHz clock speed
- 2GB of HBM2 with clock speed as high as 1200MHz (2.4GHz effective)
- 28 CUs and 1792 SPs (up from 24 CUs and 1536 SPs on Vega 24)
In addition to the Fenghuang 15FF, AMD will be rolling out some other exciting new products at the Computex event. We will keep you updated on this!
