In recent past years, BlackBerryis out of the picture. It is failing in its struggle to stand against Android and Apple’s iOS because these two are only playing in the market. But now, Cistulli said it is gonna be different this time. Blackberry is setting ambitious goals. In MWC 2017, Blackberry came up to the stage and launched its new smartphone KeyOne. It is the last designed and manufactures by hand-phone by blackberry.
The new BlackBerry KeyOne was first known as codename called Mercury. It as usual support the physical keyboard but this time it has a large screen.
The KeyOne is coming with BlackBerry’s DTEK app, this app increases security on your phone by just getting features from the BlackBerry operating system. Also, they said, there will be security update on monthly bases as well.
The KeyOne has a 4.5-inch LCD display with resolution 1620 x 1080 and its aspect ratio is 3:2. This would make reading and browsing easy. Its processor is a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and has Android 7.1 Nougat. It has internal storage of 32GB. But it can be expanded with the help of microSD up to 2TB
If we talk about the connectivity features, this new Blackberry KeyOne comes with the common set of connectivity features, Like it has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The users will also avail the DTEK security app with monthly security patches. You will also find some BlackBerry Apps preloaded on the device including BlackBerry Keyboard, BlackBerry Hub and DTEK by BlackBerry.
The black KeyOne will be available in April 2017. It will cost you for $549, £499 or €599 and will be on sale around the world through different retailers and carriers. This BlackBerry is looking like that it’s not gonna disappoint its users.
