TCL became the primary licensee of Canadian brand BlackBerry. Last year BlackBerry announce to quit the development and manufacturing of smartphones and focus on licensing its brand and its own secure software suite for other mobiles. As the only licensee of BlackBerry, all the BlackBerry devices will be produced by TCL.
TCL launch its first smartphone under the name of BlackBerry, the Keyone, with 2 keyboards, a touch and a physical QWERTY BlackBerry traditional keyboard and BlackBerry high-security features and software DTEK at Mobile World Congress, the largest fair in the world of mobiles.

The body is made of anodized aluminum which finishes with a soft-touch material.
The smartphone has a display of 4.5 inches provide a resolution of 1620×1080 (434 PPI), with Gorilla Glass 4, which make the display resistant to scratches. Below the screen, there is the full BlackBerry traditional physical keyboard that offers users more space to type than a traditional 5.5-inch smartphone which will please old fans of BlackBerry. Overall, the size (screen + keyboard) are similar to those of an Android competitor by 5.5 inches.
The smart keyboard reacts to the shortcuts inherited from the BlackBerry trackpad making web browsing, email reading and writing easy. It can be easily programmed to launch up to 52 customizable shortcuts, such as the “I” key to access mail or “M” to access the maps.The fingerprint recognition sensor is located inside the space bar.
The device has 7.1 android operating system, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology that makes it possible to charge the largest ever battery on BlackBerry device. The 3500 mAh battery can be charged up to 50% in about 36 minutes. Keyone has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX378 sensor and 8MP front camera.

Android is certainly not known for its security, but BlackBerry is focusing hard on this, promising to remain in the tradition, even recently, the Canadian brand that has made and makes privacy a workhorse.
