Asus recently launched a wide variety of laptops, updating their existing lineup. Where the VivoBook S from Asus just got launched today with a starting price of just $699. Unlike its previous iterations the new Asus Vivobook S has a lot to offer for its price. Which features a display with thin bezels and the latest 7th generation of Intel Core processors.
The Asus Vivobook S comes equipped with a 15.6 inch display. But with Asus’s new NanoEdge bezels the displays comes with an 80 percent screen to body ratio. Which results in a laptop that comes equipped with a 15.6 inch display, but in a 14 inch form factor. Aside from that the Asus Vivobook S also supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080, with a wide 178 degrees of viewing angles. There is also an Intel 7th generation Core i7 7500U running under the hood. Coupled with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1 TB of HDD storage. Users can also opt for SSD storage if needed. Or a combination of both SSD and HDD can also be configured.
In terms of ports the Asus Vivobook S comes with a single USB 3, USB 2 and USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen 1) port. Aside from that there is also a fingerprint sensor present on the tack-pad of the laptop. The Asus Vivobook S also supports fast charging, where users can get from 0 to 60 percent in just 49 minutes. Overall the Asus Vivobook S for its price is a great laptop. Though if you are someone who needs a lot of power. Then we recommend waiting for the Pro version of the Vivobook from Asus. As the laptop comes equipped with an Nvidia GTX 1050 inside, with either 2 GB or 4 GB of VRAM on board. That would be great for both work and gaming at the same time.
