Do you feel like the stock M.2 SSD slots are not enough for you? ASUS brings the solution to your problem with the all-new Hyper M.2 x16 Riser Card which allows you to add up to four extra M.2 SSDs.
Other than the main feature of the card to extend your M.2 slots capacity, here’s what’s unique:
- A PCI-Express 3.0 x16 upstream interface splitting into four 32 Gb/s M.2-22110 slots
- PCI-Express 3.0 x4 wiring for each slot
- A simple circuitry to power the four M.2 drives
- Power/activity status LEDs for each slot
A monolithic, stylish brushed aluminum shroud to help the stock heatsinks of M.2 drives
A lateral-blower fan to give passage to the air from inside your case towards the drives
A physical switch to turn the fan on/off manually
Speaking of the dimensions, the length of the card is 20.2 cm, height is 9.6 cm and the thickness is equal to 1-slot. As far as the pricing is concerned, we don’t have any news for that but you do need to have an X299 chipset-based motherboard to mount this card.
