Apple is considered one of the most trustworthy companies when it comes to data storage and sharing. The current CEO of Apple, Tim Cook took the stage to taunt Facebook’s management for considering its clients as its products!
The recent CA scandal of Facebook has made the social media giant suffer a lot as the share prices are continuously on the low. Apple’s CEO also said that it is too late for Facebook to get regulated!
I think that this certain situation is so dire and has become so large that probably some well-crafted regulation is necessary.
The ability of anyone to know what you’ve been browsing about for years, who your contacts are, who their contacts are, things you like and dislike and every intimate detail of your life – from my own point of view, it shouldn’t exist.
I think the best regulation is no regulation, is self-regulation. However, I think we’re beyond that here.
Facebook is constantly denying the key charges against it. Cook termed it as “creepy” when “all of a sudden something is chasing me around the web.”
The gist of Cook’s interview was to provide its customers with prior information on what is going to be taken from the consumers. It is a social responsibility of the corporate sectors!
