According to Bloomberg Apple has developed ARM chip for Macs The chip is not supposed to replace the Intel processor, but it will help the main processor in some tasks which will low the power range and save energy. The newly developed ARM chip would be manufactured by Apple.
The new ARM chip which Apple is developing is named T310, which will help in the performance and features of the Power Nap. This feature allows Macs to perform various activities during hibernation, which include receiving emails and updating apps like contacts, calendars, and reminders. As long as the Mac is connected to the power.
Apple currently uses the main processor of the MacBook to handle these tasks, but the development and installation of a ARM processor could further reduce battery consumption. The chip should handle basic tasks, such as checking e-mail, duration of updates and device backups while the computer is on standby.
The ARM technology is designed to provide and save more energy for the device. Other tasks for the T310 is also likely to support and access various system areas, including the memory and radio technologies.

The chip is considered to be similar to the processor already in use in the new MacBook Pro to manage Touch Bar. Bloomberg says that this chip could debut in the new MacBook Pro that Apple is expected to present later in this year, This may be a good for the company as the 13-inch model with Touch Bar has been criticized for its poor battery life.
