Apple iPhone SE smartphone is almost 2 years old now. Yet it’s one of the most popular phones Apple have ever created. Which offer high end specs and features in a compact body of only 4 inches and a decent price tag.

Recently we heard rumors regarding Apple working on the next iPhone SE. That would possibly be named as the iPhone SE 2. The phone was also rumored to be launched somewhere in the mid of this year. But according to current reports Apple might not be working on the next iPhone SE yet.

KGI Securities Analyst Ming Chi Kuo says, with everything going on Apple does not have the resources to make the next iPhone SE. Because Apple is rumored to be working on three larger phones for this year. That will include two OLED phones and one LCD model, similar in design to the current iPhone X.

Last year Apple also wasn’t able to deliver with the launch of three phones, including the iPhone 8, iPhone 8+ and iPhone X. This happened because Apple wasn’t able to allocate its resources to all three models resulting in delayed launches. Where the iPhone X was launched six months after. So if Apple wants to launch three new big phones this year. Then the company won’t have the necessary resources to produce the next iPhone SE this year.

Whatever the case maybe, Apple is expected to launch a new iPhone SE. That will come with an updated processor and memory, probably the A11 Bionic chip currently used on last year’s iPhone models. Though don’t expect Apple to bring Face ID and wireless charging anytime soon.
