AOC just announced its two new monitors. Though what’s special about these two monitor is its design. Which was made possible by collaborating with Studio F.A Porsche. As both the companies have joined teams in order to come up with two new Full HD monitors. Which includes an AOC PDS241 24 inch model and an AOC PDS271 27 inch model.
What’s unique about these two new monitor from AOC is its cable free design. Which uses a unique stand design that not only holds cable for the power brick. Which includes a single HDMI input alongside the power input. All of which can be found at the back of the power brick.
According to both the companies ”the design philosophy behind these monitors was inspired by the principals of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. If you analyze the function of an object, its form often becomes obvious. In its purest sense, a monitor is just a screen. But the screen is meant to provide a beautiful visual experience, and that experience is often marred by unsightly cables hanging down from the monitor’s ports’’.
Personally I must say that both AOC and Porsche have designed an elegant looking monitor. But what both the companies have missed are the little details that count. Where when it comes to a luxury item, branding is something that is not very well appreciated. Though AOC still went ahead by stamping its bold brand name on the front of the display. Aside from that the company also skipped out on ports. Yes it’s understandable that a single HDMI would do the job. But it wouldn’t have hurt to include more than one port in the overall package.
Both the 24 inch and the 27 inch models are current available on Amazon. Where the 24 inch AOC model will come with a price tag of $199. While the bigger 27 inch model will go for just $249.
