Although the Honor 8 from Huawei is still fresh and new and about to receive the new android version update (i-e Android 7.0 Nougat), some news have been surfaced everywhere that the company is planning to release a new device which is rumored to be the successor of Honor 8.

If the rumors are to be true, then it’s a huge plus point for the company as it would receive a big uplift not only because many are anticipating the launch of a new flagship device but also considering the upcoming competition from big companies like Samsung and Apple.

An unknown model of Honor has been certified by TENAA, having the model number DUK-TL30, which indicates that it’s going to be released very soon. However, it does not reveal the name of the Smartphone , therefore it brings a feeling of uncertainty that whether the new device would be the successor of last year’s wonder Honor 8 or some other model like the P series (as P10 is also expected in the near future).

It is rumored that the upcoming Device Honor 9 would have a better processor than its predecessor as it would be packed with a new octa-core processor clocked at 2.4 GHz and would have Kirin 960 GPU compared to the Honor 8 which had Kirin 950 GPU. So altogether this package will be approximately twice as fast as the 950 GPU and would be a much more efficient in terms of power usage.

Further, this device will have a dual camera setup (a 12 MP primary camera with a 2MP camera for wide angle aperture). The front camera would an 8MP camera which would be quite efficient for selfies. Also it would support a Type-C USB connector and MicroSD card which is expandable up to 256GB.

It will support Bluetooth 4.1 but the exciting news is that the latest Android 7.0 Nougat will be pre-installed on it.

But one major concern for this device can be that Honor 8 has been recently updated with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, which could be a setback because if the latest Android update would only be in this new device, then it would have taken it to a whole new level, so there is a slight chance that the company could delay its release so that they could come up with additional features and release this device under different name.
